BON HOMME 4-H JR LEADERS TRAVEL TO PIERRE

Nine Bon Homme County 4-H Jr. Leaders went to Pierre January 17th for a day of learningandcivicengagement. They were able to attend part of a House Judiciary Committee meeting and a town hall meeting with District 19 Representative DrewPetersonand House Minority Leader Oren Lesmeister. They also participated in a scavenger hunt around the capitol, attended a Democratic Caucus meeting, and then watched the House work through some of the day's business before heading for home. There was also time for some SDSU ice cream and a photo opportunity with the senators and representatives.

RECOVERY WARRIORS TALK PODCAST

The inaugural podcast of Recovery Warriors Talk was held January 19 at the Lighthouse Church in Wagner and was hosted by Leon Flying Hawk and Rosezena (Zena) Zephier. The first podcast gave an introduction to what to expect on the weekly talk and just a taste of the background of each host. The podcast covers all addictions, but methamphetamine is one of the addictions that both of the hosts have battled with. They both feel extremely lucky and proud to be a part of the 2%; the 2% being the percentage of people that actually recover from methamphetamine addiction.

Funeral services for James Andersh, were Thursday, January 11 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial was in ZCBJ cemetery, rural Wagner with Military Honors. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.
