This week’s WCS Senior spotlight highlights Owen Bekanich. He is the son of Susan May Gullikson. Owen has many nicknames including Owenator, Owenski, Owee, O1, ON, and Bumber. During his years at WCS, Owen has been involved in many extra-curricular activities including band (four years), cross-country (one year), track (four years), FFA (two years), wrestling (three years), football (three years), chorus (one year), and swimming (three years).

Read moreThe Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera sponsored a 13th annual 8th Grade Career Fair on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Partnering with the South Dakota Department of Health, the event also included “Camp Med Lanes”, which featured several different healthcare career choices. The event was coordinated by hospital employee, Connie Kaufman, BSN, RN and hosted by Kelly Soulek, BSN, RN.
Read moreAmerican Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on January 21, 2021 with 25 members in attendance. Commander Clayton Rados thanked the cooks for the delicious meal. Chaplain Don Kotab gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order Minutes – Adjutant Dave Isebrands read the minutes of our last meeting. Bob Kucera brought up a change to the December minutes stating Bingo will be 12 sessions and not 8 as read. The December minutes will note the change. Minutes with change were approved.
