May is designated at Older Americans Month and to commemorate this month and honor our older Americans the Library will be the site of a Pie & Games Social, sponsored by LSS Older Adult Resource Network. The social will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 1-3 pm at the library location at 17 Park Ave. A fun afternoon of cards, puzzles and pie and coffee can be had by all attending. Hope to see you there and bring a friend.

Read moreThe South Dakota Council of Administrators of Special Education (SDCASE) recently chose Miss Slaba to be the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding SDCASE Administrator award. Missy started teaching at the Wagner Community School the 2008-2009 school year; this May will mark the end of her 16th year of teaching at WCS. All 16 of those years has been as the WCS Special Education Director. Slaba’s official title is the Special Education Director (B3 services through age 21/district wide).

Read moreAmerican Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on April 18th, 2024 with 31 members in attendance. We had three guests, Ernie and Martin Rezac, and Dan Horner. Commander Rados thanked the cooks for the delicious meal. Chaplain Don Kotab then gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order.
