The Wagner volleyball team traveled to Winner on Tuesday, October 22nd to face the Winner Warriors. Wagner lost in three sets with scores of 11-25, 21-25, and 24-26.
Read moreEarly on Saturday, October 19, the Wagner Oral Interp team loaded up and headed to Brandon Valley to compete in the BV Speaking Lynx Tournament. This competition included over 330 participants, from schools that are in Class AA, A, and B. Wagner brought our 6 competitors, ready for the challenge! In this tournament, there are 3 rounds, followed by finals, for those who scored high enough to qualify.

All students performed well and came away with some awards, highlighted by Presley Slaba, scoring a Superior Plus in Storytelling, the only competitor that day to do so in that category! With over 200 students competing in the first meet hosted by Bon Homme, Wagner showed what they are made of ! Readers Theater (Presley Slaba, Macee Stimpson, Jackson Rolston, and Taya Stone) scored a Superior. Macee Stimpson & Samuel Kafka scored an excellent for their Duo. Samuel Kafka scored an excellent in his serious. Taya Stone scored an excellent plus in her serious. Jackson Rolston scored an excellent plus in his humor piece!

This is Zander’s first year of cross country. His routine on the day of a meet consists of waking up, going to school, and getting ready to run, and pump-up song is 10K by KB.

When asked about his goals for the rest of the football season, he responded, “to keep starting on defense and kick a field goal.” Dominic's hype-up song is Thunderstruck by ACDC. Dominic has played football for eight years. If Dominic were able to play another position, he would want to play quarterback because it seems like fun. An NFL player that Dominic looks up to is Matt Prater; he has grown up watching him kick field goals. For the rest of the season, Dominic plans to “kick it up a notch” in the play-offs… pun(t) intended!
