EASTER CANTATA PERFORMANCES

The Bon Homme Community Choir is making final preparations for the 2024 Performances of 'Love Lifted Up' an Easter Musical by Jason Cox and Joseph Habedank. We believe in Jesus and we believe that he is the HOPE for all the world. He calls us to the foot of the Cross where HE welcomes us ALL with open arms because he loves us. NATIONAL WILD TURKEY FEDERATION 2024 JAKES HUNT OF A LIFETIME WINNER

The SD National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) 2024 JAKES Hunt of a Lifetime Winner is 14 year old Jackie Lane of Avon. Jackie became a JAKES member through a youth turkey hunt sponsored in part by the Ft Randall Chapter of the NWTF. The state hunt drawing allows each chapter to enter 1 JAKES member for every 25 JAKES members they sign up. JAKES stands for Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship and is open to youth 17 and under.

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS

Each year the American Legion Auxiliary sponsors poem and essay contests for grades 3rd through 12th. This year’s Americanism essay contest title was “What does Freedom mean to me?” Students from Wagner Community School were asked to participate. There were seven essays received from the IV Class of freshmen and sophomores. Those participating in the essay contest were Emma Kreeger, Octavian Kocer, Trasin Dilts, Ravyn Medricky, Addison Cuka, Mara Wright and Kieradyn Knudsen. Winners were 1st place – Emma Kreeger, 2nd place – Ravyn Medricky and 3rd place – Trasin Dilts. Emma’s essay will be sent on to the state level to compete. The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary would like to thank all of the participants and the Wagner Community School for their support and help in facilitating the contest.

During her years at Wagner Community School, Madi has been a part of many school extra-curricular activities including band (three years), track (four years), volleyball (four years), stats (four years), activities council (two years), chorus (two years), National Honor Society (two years), swimming (three years), and Student Council (four years).
