ROUSE “DANCES WITH WOLVES”

Most people have heard of the iconic Kevin Costner movie, “Dances with Wolves”. “Dances with Wolves” was a western adventure movie that was released over 30 years ago in 1990. The movie stars Kevin Costner as a Civil War soldier that develops a relationship with a band of Lakota Native Americans. After spending time with the Lakota, Costner’s character, Lieutenant Dunbar, decides to leave the life that he knows behind and travel with the Lakota. This iconic movie was originally set to be filmed in Kansas, but after the director and producers saw the buffalo at the Triple U Buffalo Ranch in central South Dakota, they changed the filming site.

WAGNER SPEEDWAY SEASON TO OPEN

The Wagner Speedway racing season was set to open last weekend Saturday, May 4th, but due to weather was postponed to this upcoming Saturday, May 11th.

LITTLE RED RAIDERS VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The Wagner Little Red Raiders Volleyball camp was held April 29, 30 and May 1st. We had 34 campers attend the camp to learn more about volleyball. The girls worked hard and had a lot of fun! The future looks bright! Courtesy photo.

WAGNER PARTICIPATES IN DAKOTA VALLEY RELAYS

On Tuesday, April 23, Wagner traveled to Dakota Dunes to participate in the Dakota Valley Relays. There was some stiff competition at this meet. While some personal bests were gained there was not a lot of placing for Wagner’s teams.

HOWARD WOOD DAKOTA RELAYS

On Friday and Saturday, May 3rd and 4th, Wagner took some select athletes to Sioux Falls to compete in the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

WAGNER AT HANSON

Wagner was defeated by Hanson April 29th, with a score of 16-1. Braxton Nedved was in the circle for the Red Raiders striking out one and walking four.
