Wagner held its first Farmers Market this past Friday June 14th from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. There were five vendors for the first Farmers Market. Wagner American Blue Meats was there with meat sticks, briskets, roasts, short ribs, soup bones and hamburger. Choteau Creek Brewing Company was on hand with homemade desserts, pesto, a quiche and locally grown mushrooms. The Older Adult Resource Network (OARN) was present and wanting to help older adults in our community connect with resources they may need. Black Ink Farms was there with their 40 different jams and jellies and season produce. Big Aunti’s Teas were on hand to serve their 15 different sugar free teas. Last but not least, the Greenwood Colony was there with their canned and fresh veggies, throws and quilts.
Read moreThe 605 Unity Jam hosted the cardboard boat regatta on Sunday, June 9th. A regatta is a sporting event consisting of a series of boat races. The regatta is an annual fundraiser for the Wagner Pool Fundraising.
Read moreThis year’s annual Wagner Cancer Rummage sale was held on Wednesday, June 12th through Friday, June 14th. The Wagner Cancer Walk and Rummage organization’s President is Arlis Kafka and Vice President is Jeanene Horner. The cancer rummage has been a part of the Wagner community for the past 15 years. The organization first took over the annual Wagner rummage sale after the Right to Life group decided that they no longer wanted to take on the yearly event. What first began in the basement of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner every year grew more and outgrew the previous location of the rummage. Over the years, the rummage has been held in the American Legion Post basement, the Methodist Church, Masonic building, Coast to Coast, the Shopko parking lot, Andersh storage, out of several people’s house but has made its final home in the Wagner Armory.
Read moreLibby Renbarger, a local teacher from Wagner Community school, has been selected as an NEH Summer Scholar from a national applicant pool to attend one of 43 summer teacher workshops supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Endowment is a federal agency that, each summer, supports these enrichment opportunities at colleges, universities, and cultural institutions so teachers can study with experts in humanities disciplines and strengthen placebased humanities teaching.

Weber is getting familiar with sitting in the President’s chair which he will soon occupy for the next year. The Rotary calendar year goes from July 1st to June 30th each year. The only guest for the day was Rotarian Jeff Doom’s Uncle, Bob Maeyaert on his mother’s side of the Doom family. Bob is from Dickenson, North Dakota.
