The Wagner little league appreciates your donations, and for supporting our area youth! We also want to extend our thanks to the parents for donating your time, traveling with your kids, and to our volunteer coaches. Your time and dedication to our youth is amazing!

Read moreWagner’s 14U team traveled to Avon June 8 for one game and came away with a 22-5 victory. Preston McFayden was the starting pitcher for Wagner and went 3.2 innings and gave up three runs, none of which were earned. He gave up just one hit while walking four and striking out three. Daniel Soukup would come on to pitch the final 1.1 innings. He gave up two runs, one earned, on one hit and one walk while striking out one.

The 14Us would take the field first with the brothers Cournoyer, Carter and Joey, comprising the battery, with Carter on the mound and Joey behind the dish. Carter once again threw a superb game, but once more came away with the loss due to a lack of offense. He went 4 plus innings giving up one earned run on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts. He gave up a bunt single in the second inning but then promptly picked him off. He would also pick off the man he walked in the fourth inning. In the bottom of the fifth and final inning the lead-off batter doubled to left center and the following batter singled him home to give MVP the 1-0 victory.

Read moreThis past weekend Wagner’s 16U VFW teener team traveled to Colome and Winner to participate in a tournament. Wagner faced Chamberlain in their first game and it was a quick one as Wagner went down by a score of 3-0. Wagner collected only one hit in the game and that was by Hunter Loeffler. This was in the fifth inning when Wagner mounted its only real threat of the game as Joey Cournoyer walked and Daniel Soukup was plunked by a pitch to reach base along with Loeffler. For a moment it looked like we would plate a run or two as Carlin Hopkins hit a sharp grounder up the middle, but the shortstop made a nice play to force the runner at second. The only other player to reach for Wagner was Corbin Carda on a walk.
