Read moreThe Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera sponsored a 12th annual 8th Grade Career Fair on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Wagner National Guard Armory. Partnering with the South Dakota Department of Health, the event also included “Camp Med Lanes”, which featured several different healthcare career choices. The event was coordinated by hospital employee, Connie Kaufman, BSN.

The other plays were “When Bad ThingsHappentoGoodActors” by Mt. Vernon, “The Internet is Distract”- “Oh Look a Kitten” by Ethan, “Bad Dates” by Kimball,and“AlltheBases”by Armour.AvonManagedtotake first place with Ethan coming in second, Kimball coming in third, Mt. Vernon coming in fourth, and Armour coming in last. This means that Avon andEthanwillbemovingonto the state competition happening February second through February fourth. Avon will be performing at 9:45 am on the second and the awards ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on the fourth if anyone would like to go watch their amazing performance.
