A thunderstorm moved in Saturday evening bringing heavy rainfalls with reports received of up to 2.8 inches. With all the rain recived in the area water levels quickly rose at Wagner Lake and the rural area had several fields with standing water which will delay farmers who haven't planted their crops yet. For the past 15-20 years, the pursuit of non-indigenous game from other parts of the world has played a significant part in my life as a hunter. Yours too in all probability. After all, our ringneck pheasant came to us from China. Our Hungarian partridge come from Europe. In light of the fact that the majority of those who attend the program are in the high risk for infection category, it was determined that it isn’t worth the risk of infecting those veterans and their families.

Brenda (Bucholz) Jennings, 59, died Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home in Bancroft. A private family service was held May 16 at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet. Burial followed at Le- Sueur Cemetery, rural Bancroft.

Due to current health concerns, private funeral services for Dale A. Petrik, 55, of Wagner were held Friday, May 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wagner. The service was streamed and may be viewed at the St. John Lutheran Church youtube channel. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.
