Because of COVID 19, the Charles Mix Republican Central Committee has not yet held their Lincoln Day Dinner. As the calendar turns to August, we are getting closer to that time of year when kids go back to school. In South Dakota, our kids will be in classrooms this fall. I met with both parents and superintendents earlier this week to discuss what that will look like, and everyone was on the same page that our children should attend school in-person.

A private Funeral Mass for Mary Lois Barkley, 91, of Ravinia was held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Lake Andes on Friday, July 17. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. The service is streamed at stpaulstmark.com
