WAGNER FARM, HOME, GARDEN AND SPORTS SHOW

Wagner Chamber had a great turnout for their Annual Farm, Home Garden and Sports Show Thursday, April 4th. This years show had a great variety with 53 vendors attending. Wagner girls’ golf team kicks off their season on Friday, April 19th with Gregory at the Gregory Golf Course starting at 10 a.m. This year’s team is coached by Riley Kirwan. Riley has been coaching golf at Wagner for the past 11 years with a combined 19 years total in coaching.

SHIRLEY SETTERHOLM

Shirley Ann (Lassen) Setterholm, age 89, of Chester, passed away April 3, 2024, at the Madison Hospital from a stroke. Funeral services were held April 8 at the Trent Baptist Church in Trent. Burial will be at a later date at the ZCBJ Cemetery in Wagner.

RURAL OFFICE OF COMMUNITY SERVICES

A well-established non-profit service organization that serves both Wagner and Lake Andes is the Rural Office of Community Services (ROCS). ROCS has been a private, non-profit organization agency that has been serving the Charles-Mix area since 1981. The agency began by offering general human and social services in both Wagner and Lake Andes. ROCS has since evolved to serve 28 counties in South Dakota with emergency services, transportation, nutritional programs, and weatherization in addition to many more programs.
