SEASON OPENER AGAIN WESSINGTON SPRINGS

On Monday, June 3, Wagner VFW Post 7319’s 14U and 16U Teener teams opened their seasons by hosting Wessington Springs. Both teams came away with wins. The 14U squad earned an 8-1 win while the 16U team triumphed by a 15-1 count.

TEENERS TAKE ON KIMBALL-WHITE LAKE

On Wednesday, June 5, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 14U teeners traveled to White Lake to take on Kimball-White Lake. Wagner had baserunners galore in this one as we used 15 hits, 16 walks, and one hit batsman to score 25 runs enroute to a 25-5 victory.

WAGNER TEENERS VS TYNDALL

On Thursday, June 6, Wagner’s VFW Post 7319 teeners played host to Tyndall. The 14U squad continued to hit the ball well as they came out on the good side of an 11-8 score. Steven Peters started on the mound for Wagner and went 2.1 innings giving up six earned runs on four hits and five walks. Colton Zephier then came on to finish the shortened game (due to time constraints) and earn the win as he allowed two unearned runs on three hits while walking one and striking out one.

On Friday, June 7, the Wagner VFW Post 7319 14 and 16U teeners traveled to the northwest part of the county to take on Platte-Geddes.

LOCALS COMPETE AT REGION RODEO

Saturday, June 8th two local riders traveled to Watertown where they competed in the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association Region Rodeo. Shana Lensing participated in Pole Bending and Barrels. Shada Beeson advanced to the 75th Annual South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals in Pole Bending and Breakaway. Finals are June 11th-15th at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre. NEW HUMAN TRAFFICKING SIGNS DONATED

You can’t miss the new signs against human trafficking at Marty and Lake Andes! Human trafficking is happening. Victims are transported and recruited and groomed through this area. Brunsing read a prayer from Rotary guidelines that gave thanks for our club and the opportunities and challenges it meets each day Song leader Gerrit Juffer led the membership in singing one verse of America the Beautiful!
