Make no mistake about it, Dakota Valley is one of the better teams in the state, but we came into this game unfocused, perhaps content with the fact that we had our tickets to the state tournament already in hand. Too many physical and mental errors were made in this one, something you just can’t do if you’re going to have a chance against a team of this caliber. Wagner would go down in defeat by a score of 10-0.

Read moreOn Wednesday, July 21, the Wagner VFW Post 7319 16U Teener team traveled to White Lake for a game against Kimball-White Lake. The offense got on track this game as Wagner used eight hits, seven walks, and a hit batsman to score nine runs enroute to a 9-7 victory. Wagner was led at the plate by Keegan McAdaragh who collected two hits, score two runs, and also knocked in two. Second baseman Niko Drapeau also tallied two hits. He would score a run and drive one in, as well. Carlin Hopkins and Carter Cournoyer each had one hit, one RBI, and one run scored with Carlin’s hit going for a double. Christian Doom and Matt Link had one hit apiece with Link crossing the plate one time. Colby Krcil and Daniel Soukup each reached base twice, Krcil by a walk and hit by pitch and Soukup had an eye at the plate to collect two walks. Each would score a run.
