Read moreTo ensure the safety of all our students during drop-off, we are going to implement a “one-way” street from 7:30 – 8:25 a.m. on school days. Please enter Pine Street from the North (Old Hwy 50 or 2nd Street). Drive South to the front of the school where your child can be dropped off by the main entrance. As you leave Pine Street on the south end, you can go straight, or turn east or west to leave the school. High school students will enter from the North and turn into the parking lot. If they have younger students with them, they will all walk from the parking lot.

Read moreThe Charles-Mix County Historical Society has been busy as of late with some replacement and remodeling projects in the museum. After receiving a generous grant of $20,000 from the Wagner Community Foundation, the Charles-Mix County Historical Society was able to do some much-needed work. The roofs of the house, school and church were all re-shingled by Bouza’s Construction (through a sealed bid process) along with two bathrooms being completely remodeled by Jerry Seiner and Mark Wiechmann who graciously donated their time and labor for the project.

Not only did Avon win team points, but they brought home many high point trophies and other outstanding awards.
