Anna DeHaan, a Junior at Dakota Christian, along with Lexi Schoenfelder, an 8th Grader at Andes Central, qualified for the State Cross Country Meet at the Region 3A Meet held in Beresford on October 14. Lexi finished in 15th with a time of 20:49 and Anna was close behind in 17th running 20:55. The girls gave their all, commented Coach Larry Lucas. It was a very competitive field of runners and most of them we had not run up against this year. I encourage anyone that can to come and cheer on all of the runners competiting at State. There are 6 races, three each for boys and girls and three Divisions - B, A, and AA.” The State Meet will be this Saturday, October 23, at the Yankton Trails Course in Sioux Falls. Start time for the Girls Class A Race is 12:30 pm.
