The Andes Central Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) students honored the Veterans residing at the Lake Andes Health Care Center by presenting them with Veteran’s Day Baskets. The baskets included a snack, a drink and a handmade patriotic ornament made by the JAG students. The residents were excited to be honored and to have the JAG students come for a visit.

Read moreThe annual VFW Post 7319 Veterans Day Banquet was held at the American Legion with a potluck supper at 7:00 p.m. on November 11, 2023. Toastmaster for the evening was Mark Roberts. The Invocation was given by Post 7319 Chaplain, Don Hubbard. Mark led the group in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. He then introduced officers of both the VFW and American Legion and their Auxiliaries.

Read moreMacy Koupal signed her letter of intent Wednesday, November 8th to play basketball at Dordt University for her post secondary education. Macy has been a four year starter for the Red Raiders in both volleyball and basketball. She has made all-conference in basketball since her 8th grade season. She was also selected to both the Volleyball and Basketball All-Tourney teams at the state tournaments last season for the Raiders. Macy plans on double majoring in Biology and Business and going on to Optometry school. She excels in both the classroom and the courts, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, taking multiple dual credit classes each semester, and being a part of a number of school organizations. Courtesy Photo
