Read moreThis week’s featured Andes Central Senior is Riata Bultje. Riata is the daughterofBriceandDarci Bultje. She has two younger sisters at Andes Central, Emery and Marin. During her high school years, Riata has been involved in volleyball, track, FFA, FCCLA, band, choir and National Honor Society. Riata has been very active in the community and volunteered her time working with Meals of Hope, Feeding SD and cleaning up trash on the wildlife refuge. Turkey gravy with mashed potatoes is Riata’s favorite school lunch. Riata’s favorite class is Botany with Mr. DeNeui. Botany was never boring and they learned a lot of very interesting and useful information about plants.

During her high school years, Hannah has been involved in volleyball, basketball, track, National Honor Society (NHS), and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She has also done community service and volunteered her time helping with the Andes Central summer lunch program. Pizza is Hannah’s favorite school lunch. Her favorite class and teacher are Anatomy with Mrs. Maynard. Mrs. Maynard is her favorite teacher because she is such a fun teacher.

Read moreThe Wagner Rotarians were treated to a social night on Wednesday, December 27th at their club residence on Main Street. The evening began with a Social Half-Hour followed by a delicious meal. The theme of the evening was all about the country of India. Michelle and Gerrit Juffer recently returned from a Rotary Exchange Trip to this country. Exchange trips vary from country to country around the globe. Rotarians from each District are eligible and must apply for the travel exchange. They are always escorted by the Rotarians of the district in the country they are visiting. They also stay at the Rotarians homes or in a hotel of Rotary’s choice.
