Avon Archery Team, along with their Coaches Troy Soukup and Chuck Zacharias, have begun practice for the season. The 15 archers from grades six through twelve practice every Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. trying to acquire the mandatory ten hours of practice necessary to compete at the State Archery Competition on April 1, in Spearfish, SD.

Read moreAs the school year passed the midpoint, the 8th grade careers class was allowed to look at different careers. The 8th grade Career Fair was Thursday, January 20 at the Armory in Wagner. Students got to visit some college reps and explore different career and post-secondary opportunities, for example the military. Kate Swier said, “It was fascinating to see all the professions and colleges.” Law enforcement, medical clinic, and the physical therapy booth were all there.
