On October 14h, Ashley Tolsma sang the National Anthem at the high school State Soccer tournament in Brandon. Ashley had to go through a series of steps to be invited to sing. First, she had to practice the National Anthem. Next, she had to record herself singing it and send the recording to the SDHSAA. The SDHSAA had to pickwhotheywantedtosing,andthey chose Ashley.

She has many different kinds of activities throughout the day to keep the class actively involved in theirlearning.OneofMrs.Kocmich’s favoritememoriessofar this school year is winning 1st place in the homecoming parade withherclass.Everyyear she looks forward to watching her kids grow and learn. Thurman Cournoyer Sr., 79, of Marty, died Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home in Marty. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 11 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty.
