Wagner Community School celebrated National Education Week November 13-17th. Dana Sanderson was recognized as the recipient of the Friends of Education Award. Dana has been involved with the Build Dakota Scholarshp for seniors and organizes a community potluck for new WCS staff who have moved to town at the beginning of the school year. Dana also assists with classes for high school students preparing to take the ACT test. Along with volunteering within the schools, he helps to bring together our community with the 605 Unity Jam. A sincere thank you to Dana for your commitment to our school and students.

Read moreThe Wagner senior students are preparing to leave high school in just a few months and move on to their future. Wagner students have received a good education and have had a variety of great opportunities to help them prepare for what comes after graduation. Many of these students may have done a lot of research about training and career options and had some great advice and support from family, teachers and friends in their decision making process. However, some may not. Some students, may still have some big questions about their future.

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary celebrated National Education Week November 14th by bringing homemade cookies to the Wagner Community School for all of the staff to enjoy. Sandy Seiner, Auxiliary Education Chairman organized the baking and bundling of the goodies. Bonnie Soukup, Margie Stone, June Stone, Sandy Seiner and Alyssa Mathis all baked cookies for the event. The cookies were divided into nine plates and delivered to the nine different offices/areas of the school including pre-school, elementary, middle school, high school, business office, special education, food service, janitors and transportation.
