MITCHELL BERTSCH

Mitchell Bertsch died in a tragic single vehicle accident September 24, 2023. He was 29 years old.

Mitch was born September 7th, 1994 in Bellflower, California. His parents are Rick Bertsch and Lynn Bloor. Rick was born in Wagner. Lynn was born in Los Angeles, California. The couple separated when Mitchell was a baby. Mitch and his siblings, Crystal and Brett lived with his father. In his younger years they lived in Los Angeles County.

For more than the past twenty some years they lived in Irvine in Orange County, California.

Mitch’s maternal grandparents were Robert Bloor (deceased) and wife Yvonne DeBeauchamp from Culver City, California. His fraternal grandparents were Walter and Ione Bertsch of Salisbury, Missouri and Wagner. Ione died last year at the age of 99. She lived with Mitch and his family for the last 22 years of her life. Mitch had a very loving relationship with grandmother Ione.

Mitch’s only surviving sibling is Crystal who lives in the South Orange County. His brother, Brett died twelve years ago, at the age of 18. He has only one surviving fraternal uncle, Dr. Dean Bertsch, who lives in Irvine, California. His two other fraternal uncles, Douglas and Larry Bertsch are deceased. Larry and his wife, Joann have two sons, Jeremy and Joshua (deceased). Mitch has a maternal uncle, Pat Bloor and wife, Pam have two children, Susan and Patrick. Susan has two daughters, Katelyn and Allie. Pat and his wife Christina, have a daughter Victoria.

Mitch attended schools in the Irvine Unified School District and graduated from Woodbridge High School. Mitch had his daily job, and enjoyed buying and selling items. He had several hobbies which included fishing, boating, biking, and gardening. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends. His best friends were Lauren Brown, Michaela Newsom and Shane Quecke. He was also very close to his long-term friends of the family, Lisa Hamilton and her daughter Allie Boyce.

The only consolement for his Family is their strong faith that Mitchell is now in Heaven with God our Father. Mitchell is a Christian. A ceremony is planned in the near future. Whomever knew Mitch, loved Mitch, and will have a part of his heart with them forever. He will be missed for the rest of our lives, until God sees fit.
