KATHERINE EDDY

Katherine Fern Eddy, 70, of Greenwood, died Saturday, April 27, 2024 at her home in Greenwood. The family had private services for her. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Katherine was born in Wagner, to Wilford Kazena and Irene Henry. She was the youngest of their four children Loretta, Kenneth and Doyle. Her father remarried where she got a little brother Even “Corky.”

Katherine graduated with high honors from St. Paul’s High School in Marty, May 18, 1973.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Yankton Sioux Tribe, a nurse’s aide at the Lake Andes Nursing Home, and then as a housekeeper at the Fort Randall Casino and Hotel.

She had Doyle “Hoksina,” William, and Jared. After marrying Robert Eddy February 2, 1990, they had Alicia.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Loretta, Doyle, and Evans “Corky”; son Doyle “Hoksina”; and grandson Louie.

She is survived by her brother Kenneth; children: William, Jared, and Alicia; many grandchildren; and one great-grandchild Jaelynn.
