With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a courageous soul who graced our lives with his unwavering strength. Aden was 8 when he earned his angel wings June 9th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of enduring strength against impossible odds. In his brief but impactful time with us, Aden taught us the true meaning of courage, perseverance, and unconditional love. He was, and shall remain, a beacon of hope to inspire those who know his story. Funeral Mass was held Thursday, June 13 at St. Leo Catholic Church in Tyndall. Interment was in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Tyndall.

Born May 8, 2016, Aden embarked on a journey that would test his spirit and endurance. With unwavering determination, he faced the challenges of a fragile heart with bravery most adults could not hope to muster. Aden’s fight was rewarded with the gift of a new heart from Omar Martinez. Thank you, Maria Martinez, for giving us those extra years with our little Heart Warrior. Though his physical struggles were immense, Aden’s spirit shone through his bright eyes and unforgettable smile, a testament to his unwavering resilience and boundless optimism. He embraced each moment with a passion for life, whether he was engaging in epic Nerf gun battles, delighting in the simple pleasures of a crackling campfire, or the enjoyment he got from a car ride with his family. Fireworks in particular brought him joy which he shared by immersing himself in the love and laughter of his siblings as they watched together.

Left to cherish Aden’s memory are his parents, Russell James and Amanda Beth Bisson; siblings, Maria Carrera, Nati Carrera, Deanna Carrera, Eduardo Gonzalez and Luke Bisson; Maria Marinez, heart donor mom; grandparents, Scott and Jeanna Phillips, Connie and Virgil Pravecek, Larry and Rene Washburn; great-grandmas, Norma Washburn and Frances DeEtta Davis; great-grandfather, Wilbur Petty; aunt and uncles, Jessica and Gavin Pravecek, Travis and Angie Bohy, Cameron Brandt, Brenda Bradley, Cody Washburn, Alysia and Roger Wilson, Victoria Rager, Lela and Brandon Swenson, Zachary Petty, James Petty, Franklin Petty and Rhonda Petty; many great-aunts and uncles and lots of cousins. Aden was preceded in death by his donor brother, Omar Martinez; great-grandmas and grandpas, Warren and Bonnie Bisson, Regina and Albert Nordyke, Russell Washburn, James and Audrey Phillips, William and Lucy Petty; grandfather, Ronald Petty; aunt, Stephanie Washburn and cousin, Vern Hicks.

As we mourn the loss of our beloved Aden, let’s take solace in the memories he leaves behind and the profound impact he had on our lives.
