Read moreOn Friday, the 4th of September, Wagner traveled to Mount Vernon to face the MVP Titans. They suffered a loss of 52-28 with the Titans pulling ahead in the second quarter. The Titans had more yards than the Raiders, 469-178. Quarterback Jaiden Peters threw 193 yards with 16 completed passes. Three of those passes were touchdowns made by Nolan Carda, Chris Nelson, and Dustin Honomichl. Nolan Dvorak lead in receiving with 83 yards. Nolan Carda stripped the ball on defense and ran 96 yards for a touchdown. Two extra points were kicked by Dustin Honomichl. Nolan Dvorak caught a pass from Jaden Peters and made two extra points as well. The Raiders made 7 points in the first and second quarter, with the final 14 points coming from the fourth quarter. Braden Lhotak lead in defense with 11.5 tackles. Malcolm Janis followed with 7 tackles.

Taking charge at the net offensively was Abby Brunsing with 11 kills and Avari Bruguier with 6. Setters, Macy Koupal and Paige Petry, connected with their hitters for 16 and 8 assists apiece. In the backcourt, Brunsing led with 17 digs, Olivia Breen dug up 11, and Bruguier added 9 of her own. Wagner had a great night at the net defensively with 3 blocks a piece from Brunsing and Shona Kocer. Behind the service line, Petry led with 10 points and 3 aces, while Breen added 8 points and 4 aces.

Read moreThe Wagner Volleyball team chalked up its second win against a scrappy Chamberlain team 3-1 (25-20, 25-16, 23-25, and 25-23) on Thursday night. Abby Brunsing led the offense with 21 kills followed by Shona Kocer with 9. Brunsing served aggressively with 16 points and 5 aces on the night while Kya Kjedgaard added 11 points and 2 aces. Up at the net Brunsing and Kocer each earned a block against the Cubs. In the back-court libero Olivia Breen dug up 12 balls and Paige Petry added 10 of her own. Petry fed her attackers with 21 assists and Macy Koupal dished out 17 in the win.
