I’ve never been one to mince words or concern myself with political correctness, and I won’t today. While today’s column doesn’t apply to the majority of readers, we might all be in a position to encourage someone, tactfully if possible, to do something about their weight. Why? Obesity is a serious health issue. It can certainly lead to heart problems as well as diabetes, and it affects those we love.
Read moreThe Wagner Bon Homme gymnastics team hosted their first meet of the season Saturday, December 12th. There were six teams invited and 42 athletes competed in the Wagner Invitational. WBH came in 4th place with a score of 116.7. This came on the heals of a two week shut down of school in Wagner meaning no practices for any of their athletes during that time. The team worked hard with the time they did have to be prepared to compete.
Read moreThe Raiders competed at the Elk Point Jefferson invitational over the weekend Dec. 19th. The Raiders had two finalists, Jhett Breen and Nolan Dvorak. A thirdplace finish from Karstyn Lhotak and fourth-place for Riley Roberts. Tim Bouza was the only Wagner wrestler to compete in a round robin bracket, since there were only five wrestlers competing at that weight. The next action for the Raiders is Dec. 29th at the Sioux Falls Lincoln tournament.
