Wagner put up 19 points in the fist quarter and added 15 in the second period to take a comfortable 34-11 lead into the half. The Red Raiders defensive pressure was the key in building the big lead. Wagner continued to pull away and won by a final score of 69-31. Dustin Honomichl led the way for Wager scoring 23 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Toby Zephier added 9 points 5 steals and 4 assists. Ted Slaba and Chris Nelson each scored 6, Matt Link, Niko Drapeau and Carter Cournoyer scored 5 each. Daelyn Red Buffalo scored 4, Camden Roth, Calvin Wright, and Preston McFayden each scored 2. Wagner forced 30 turnovers and had 19 steals. The Red Raiders play their next game in Bon Homme January 7th.

Wagner would shoot 47% while holding the Wolves to 19%. The Raiders would force 28 turnovers compared to only 8 of their own. Wagner would out rebound Menno 24-21. The Raiders would hit 4-8 from the line while Menno would go 5-7. Wagner would use a balanced scoring attack as all 10 Raiders would score. Macy Koupal and Eve Zephier would lead Wagner with 10 points each. Macy would grab 5 boards and dish out 2 assists. Eve would come away with 5 steals. Avari Bruguier would add 9 points off the bench. Emma Yost would also score 9 points, grab 9 boards, and come away with 2 steals. Ashlyn Koupal and Lyndia Yost would each add 6 points off the bench. Ashlyn would also dish out 2 assists. Shalayne Nagel would chip in 4 points, dish out a team high 5 assists, and come away with 7 steals. Jessica Kocer, Sydney Cournoyer, and McKenzie Fuchs would all tally 2 points. Sydney would grab 3 boards and dish out 2 assists. McKenzie would also grab 3 boards. “Overall, a great team effort on the defensive end. Offensively we did a much better job of penetrating gaps and getting ball movement. We knocked down our perimeter shots the first half and did a lot of great things out of sets in the second half. The Lady Braves coming in at the number one seed easily defeated the Takini Skyhawks. It was the Lady Braves defense of pressure that help them score 61 points in the first half. Jayla Bruguier scored 29 points, 8 steals and 8 rebounds. Hawk Bear had 17 points, 8 steals, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 1 block. Neveah Medicine Horn had 14 points, 6 steals, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and a block. Genesis Patterson added 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. The team had a total of 29 steals. KDKO Players of the Game for Marty was Hawk Bair, and for Takini Skyhawks Amiyah St. John with 9 points, 5 rebounds and a block. The Braves won 80-19. They advanced to the semi finals versus Todd County JV.
