The median net farm income in 2019 was $40,415 compared to $53,888 in 2018. This information is based on averages and there are certainly farms and ranches with higher and lower returns. The data is compiled through a statewide educational program that assists producers with their recordkeeping and management offered through Mitchell Technical Institute.
