Jim Swanson, owner of Storage by Swanson, recently finished building a nine unit Storage Facility just southeast of Avon. The whole unit is 12' x 40' wide. The door to each individual unit measures 10' wide x 14' tall. For more information, contact Jim at 402-841-7926.

According to government teacher Kris Cahoy, this is an opportunity for the senior class to run a campaign and organize their stances on issues in order to create a media promotion for their candidates. This month-long project started February 15 and ends on election day, March 15. All the grades will get to vote.

Read moreCommunity Gardens can be found across the state of South Dakota, and I dare say that probably none of them are operated in the same manner. Community Gardens are just that a garden that is organized by member of the community where they are found. Some are totally self-sustaining by charging fees for the use of garden space, water, equipment etc. Other gardens such as the one in Lake Andes are established by grants from Voices for Food and the Lake Andes Food and Wellness Council. The Lake Andes Community Garden is supported by the Andes Central School District with placement on land owned by the School District. The garden is also supported by the City of Lake Andes by providing water free of charge to irrigate the garden throughout the growing season.

Read morePresident Bryan Slaba welcomed the Wagner Rotarians to their weekly meeting with a loud ringing of the bell. Rotarian Laurie Kidd began a prayer by asking for a moment of silence for the country of Ukraine. Laurie asked for March birthdays which turned out to be Jamie Soukup and Craig Krsnak. The club sang Happy Birthday to the two members, and this was followed by a gusty singing of “Sing Out a Song to Rotary” and “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”
