Senior students Reece Loewe, Samantha Brodeen, Katie Gretschmann, Makayla Kopp, and Trinity Chaisson along with junior Jessica Streit, and teacher Tamara Carns entered the lab with loads of excitement.

Mrs. Connie Gretschmann said, “We know senioritis starts to kick in when students say ‘Do we have to do this?’ and the countdown shows up on my whiteboard.”

Read moreAvon students made poppy posters to be judged by the American-Legion Auxiliary. According to legion-aux.org, the red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms. Poppy posters are a great way for students in grades 2-12 to get involved in the remembrance and honor of our veterans.
